The freeway melted yesterday. I’m not kidding. 2,700 degrees worth of fireball from a gasoline tanker truck that flipped over and burst into flames. The driver walked away from the crash with 2nd degree burns to his face, hands and arms. It was at 3:40 am Sunday morning. We actually didn’t find out until Sunday afternoon. I wonder how many people are just finding out this morning?
They’re saying it’s going to be at least 4 weeks, probably much, much longer than that to repair. Ugly commute this morning. It’s going to be real ugly. Even though I don’t go on the freeway to get to work the road I do travel on is one people use to make their way there.
Patience.

So, as a post note to this entry, it did take about a month for them to reopen that section of the freeway.
