Can Spirit Hear You Grieving?

I was poking around in my statistics for Talking to Spirit just now and had a look at the words people were using to find the site. One search stuck out like a sore thumb and I figured I might talk about it.

The person had asked the question: Can Spirit hear you grieving?

The answer to that is yes, but they don’t really care. Not in the sense that they want you to stop grieving for them. Just that those sorts of things are no longer important to them. They still love you, don’t get me wrong. But, they’re not all that worked up about you grieving.

How long you grieve for the person who has passed on is your business. You’ll work it out in your own time. But, think of how a parent feels when they’re watching their 3rd toddler learn to walk. The kid is all over the place like a drunken sailor. Many times they walk into walls and fall down. And, cry. Can the parents spare them this learning to walk thing? No. Just gotta keep walking into walls until you don’t do it anymore and can make your way across the room without running into something.

So, for those of you who are grieving? Your loved one can hear you. You can’t hear them, but they can hear you. Tell them how you feel. Do it quietly in your head or holler the walls down. Write to them in your journal. Letters to Mom or something like that. All the stuff you never thought to tell her. Tell her now. She can take it. And, she still loves you.

Work out your grief in your own way. For most people it takes time and even 15 and 20 years down the road when you figure you’re past it the grief will come up out of nowhere and blindside you, so in that sense it never does go away. But, you learn to cope with it. And, those blindside hits don’t happen as often as they did when your grief was a raw thing.

If you're interested I've got a page at Talking to Spirit about Grief. It might help and I'm sorry for your loss.
