This week I’ve been preoccupied with hot flashes both during the day and night sweats at night. This has resulted in a major case of insomnia that’s lasted all week long. Yuck.
I’ve learned a few useful tips. It’s the terrific imbalance of hormones that has driven my body’s thermostat crazy. Lots of things will set one off; anger, hot drinks, large meals, looking cross-eyed at somebody. They supposedly don’t last long.
I’ve also learned dressing in layers is useful. Yesterday I walked to work in my shirt sleeves. Everybody else had over coats on. I carried mine over my arm. Like I said, “Yuck.”
